Dental Cleanings

Dental cleanings performed by our dental hygienist are a form of preventative treatment for your teeth. Along with semi-annual checkups, regular dental cleanings are essential to good oral health. Overland Park Smiles recommends all patients receive regular teeth cleanings every 6 months in order to effectively remove plaque and tartar from tooth surfaces. Routine brushing and flossing cannot always remove all traces of these substances so it is necessary to see a professional. During the exam and cleaning, we also check for gum disease.
